Running principles
To carry out such yarns, SUPERBA proposes a continuous industrial alternative. This method uses the friezing machine by compression type MF/2, integrated to a TVP/2S heat-setting line.
A layer of 24, 36 or 48 ends is introduced into the friezing box, after passing through a false twist unit providing the cohesion necessary to the simultaneous treatment of all the yarns and later makes the yarn separation easier. A steam injection at 0.2/0.3 bars, that is to say 100 to 110° C, facilitates the yarn introduction, provides them with volume and develops a much more important frieze effect. The friezing rate is mechanically determined through the adjustment of the exit pressure. This enables to get, in a controlled and perfectly reproducible way, the high variety of friezing effects that are presently especially sought after.

Combining the friezing per compression with the steam treatment allows the reduction in the twist by about 20 to 30 rounds per metre. This is an appreciable advantage given the high twisting cost. Moreover certain individual yarn breakage, due to too high twists, are thus avoided. The feeding speed is located between 200 and 400 metres per minute for Spun fibres or for BCF multi-filaments. The treatment can be applied to both crude and dyed yarns and to the whole group of counts usually used in the carpet industries. The friezed effect is then heat-set, under saturated steam, inside the TVP/2S tunnel. |

Running principles
The main advantages of the MF/4 are the possibilities to produce different
types of frieze effects. Knit de Knit and MF/2 (unequal yarn wavelengths)
styles can be achieved with the MF/4 Frieze Machine. With the increased
texturing possibilities of the MF/4, in certain cases, twist levels can
be reduced. The new MF/4 Frieze Machine increases reliability, reproducibility
and allows a wider range of yarns to be processed, such as, singles yarn
with low twist and low DPF yarns.
The Frieze Machine is very easy to set up and maintain. An example of this is the use of only one type of feed roller for all yarn types.
The new MF/4 Frieze Machine integrates a PLC system to control the feed rollers and the false twist speed. All machine parameters are entered through a touch screen, for example:
The PRE/2S pre-feeding speed can be adjusted through the yarn tension captor. The set value will be memorized in the recipe and indicated on the screen .
The MF/4 can be monitored by the ARG/PRO process controller with the 'Plant View' supervisory system.
The possibility to adjust the laying speed up to 600 m/mn, allows obtaining a significant production increase up to 48 ends can be treated simultaneously.

All
frieze effects are possible from very low to very high. This includes
a similar look as that of the knit-de-knit process. Delicate yarn
can be processed( single end with low twist and/or low DPF yarn
types).
